Inflammation is known to harm the cells and affect the production of collagen. Insufficient amount of collagen production can cause thinning of the skin that is known as scars. If the dermatologist recommends certain medications, make sure to follow them strictly in order to achieve good results. Though some doctors suggest using treatments that involve chemicals, it is best to prefer natural treatments especially if you have sensitive skin.

Aside from using prescribed medication for acne, it is best to maintain a healthy diet because what you eat greatly affects the health of your skin. Make sure to avoid eating fried and oily foods as well as too much sugar and salt. As much as possible, include fresh fruits and vegetables in your daily diet. Additionally, regular exercise is recommended in order to keep the body healthy and eliminate some body waste through perspiration.

Having a good skin care habit is very important in order to get rid of acne and prevent it from coming back. Whatever acne treatment you use, skin care is definitely a must to avoid lesions, acne zits, swelling and redness. You need to wash your face at least two times a day, one in the morning and one in the evening. Use skin care products that are based on natural ingredients to avoid harmful side effects.
